The boy’s expression and words were most than enough to make Yukino drop her arms down; the camera now facing the ground instead of the boy. She feels her face and neck heat up from her embarrassment over her amateur move.
“S-sorry, I really should have asked permission. See, I was commissioned by this youth fashion mag and they wanted me to take picture of students in their uniforms for an upcoming issue.” Yukino reaches back into her backpack, pulling out a small booklet. With her camera now resting around her neck, she flips through the booklet.
“And they wanted me to mostly focus on the unique and interesting ways teens are altering their uniforms. But, you kinda stood out cause the way you wear yours it’s exactly to your school’s dress code.” For emphasis, she flips to a page on the booklet highlighting the proper way Shujin student should wear their uniform and faces it to the teen.
“Again, I’m really sorry. So far no one has minded me taking pictures of them at all…I shouldn’t assume everyone would feel the same.”
The boy keeps his blank expression, however, there was a slight hint of confusionl that was a rather weird article to make, but again, not that he knows much about teen magazines, except for Coolest, and he only reads it due to the amazing articles Maya Amano writes, especially the ones regarding the mysteries in her town, the ‘rumors’ was by far his favourite one.
The boy looks at his own attire, he barely even noticed that he stood out for wearing the uniform correctly, everyone’s probably trying to get out of the boring routine by accessorizing themselves. It must work for them, not so much for the highschooler.
He just stared at the girl in silent, with his usual expressionless face, almost as if he was deep in thought. Could she be…nah, it’s not possible, he can’t possibly be that lucky.
“Do you work with Maya Amano?”
