“You’re born,  you work, you get married, have children, you die, you’re born, you work, you get married, have children, you die.“

A a camera takes a picture of a young boy in front of a height measure background.

“I could say the same pattern 50 billion times more, and still wouldn’t be equivalent to how many times this has happened on this world, the truth is that, the world is in a constant state of loop, sure there are some variables, but the core is still the same, you’re born, you work, you get married, have children, you die. Is a truth so embedded in our reality that almost no one thinks much about it.

…I do…”

After the photo is taken, the boy gets handcuffed and guided to another room.

“It’s like we’re chained to a life that has been preemptively chosen for us, stuck in a pattern, until you die, your children grow up and they become part of the pattern, it’s a neverending cycle which the human being have grown accostumed to.

…everything is just so safe, so…boring…”

‘Fingerprints here, please.’ a serious voice demanded as the boy passively comply.

“I tried my best to break my own chain, so I did some unconventional things, something the world didn’t  want me to do, that is, become a delinquent. I broke mailboxes, sprayed graffittis on the walls and the sorts, I never took enjoyment out of it, but I had a deluded relief that I wasn’t following the pattern.”

The boy is escorted to a dressing room, which one of the cops gives him a striped black and white attire.

“I was fooled by that life for a while, until I realized how I hated that, it wasn’t me, sure, I don’t knew exacttly who I was but I know it wasn’t that, so in later years I’ve spent quite a while growing apathetic to the studies, and even life itself. Until ‘that day’ made something snap inside my mind, almost as if my own self has awakened.

I’m a thief.”

After he puts on the attire, the young man is then escorted to a long hallway.

“That was it! That was the answer, all of a sudden, I was no longer bored, I was  feeling the chains holding me to the everyday life loosening. I am not only me, I am Phantom, and for once in my life, I was finally free….I have found what I was looking for so long, I’m free at last….so why..”

He’s finally sent into a cell, after he enters it, all of a sudden everything from the outside world becomes velvet blue, the guards vanishes being replaced by a big-nosed man and two children.

“Why do I still feel like a prisoner?”
